Description

A delightful craft project that creates vibrant stained glass flower windows to brighten your home.

Materials

  • Colored tissue paper
  • Wax paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or decoupage glue
  • Craft knife (for adult use or supervision)
  • Pencil
  • Black construction paper (optional for outlining)
  • Sunlight!

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Lay down newspaper or a protective covering to prevent messes.
  2. Create your flower shape: Using a pencil, draw your desired flower shape on the black construction paper.
  3. Cut the flower shape out: Use scissors or a craft knife (with adult supervision) to cut out the flower shape from the black construction paper.
  4. Cut out colored tissue paper: Tear or cut colorful tissue paper into small pieces that you’ll use for filling in your flower design.
  5. Glue the tissue paper: Spread a layer of glue on the wax paper and carefully place pieces of tissue paper onto the glue until the entire space is filled with color.
  6. Attach the flower outline: Once the tissue paper is set, glue the black outline over the colorful area.
  7. Display your artwork: Hang your creation in the window for maximum sunlight exposure.

Notes

Use wax paper to easily transfer your design while allowing light to shine through. Adult supervision is advised, especially when using sharp tools.
