Materials
- Coffee filters (preferably white)
- Red, yellow, green, and brown food coloring
- A spray bottle filled with water
- A foam wreath form (or cardboard cut into a circle)
- Hot glue and glue gun
- Optional: ribbon for hanging
Instructions
- Prepare the coffee filters by flattening them on a protected surface.
- Color the filters with mixed food coloring and water; spray lightly and drizzle colored water.
- Shape the filters into apple forms once dried, using smaller pieces for leaves.
- Attach the colored coffee filters around the foam wreath form, spacing them evenly.
- Add brown filters for branches or twigs if desired.
- Finish by attaching an optional ribbon for hanging and find a display spot.
Notes
Supervise children when using glue guns, and consider using tweezers for smaller filters to assist little hands.
