Instructions
- Dye your coffee filters: In several small bowls, combine water with your food coloring. Dip each coffee filter into the dye mixture to create vivid apple shapes.
- Dry the coffee filters: Place the dyed filters on a flat surface to dry completely.
- Creating apple shapes: Once the filters are dry, stack a few together and cut them into apple shapes.
- Attach leaves: Cut small leaf shapes from the green-colored coffee filters and attach them to the top of your apple cuts with glue or tape.
- String the apples: Using the bowstring or twine, string your apple cutouts in a pattern you enjoy.
- Display: Hang your garland in a classroom or any place that can use a touch of color.
Notes
Encourage kids to help with gluing and arranging the apples to foster teamwork and creativity. Use a mess mat to avoid dye spills.
